Reasons for disposal

Your application will be refused if you have more asbestos than we can accept. No asbestos will be accepted as a result of work carried out by a trades person. There may be a charge for the asbestos you require disposal of, you will be sent a quote and further advice by a member of the Waste Management Team.

To ensure we have an asbestos trained member of staff at the time of your visit, asbestos will be accepted between 9-10am and 12-1pm Monday-Saturday. Please note a date you wish to dispose of your asbestos. Please bear in mind you will only be able to dispose of asbestos once approval is given by the Waste Management Team.

The personal information you provide on the above application form will be handled by Peterborough City Council in line with our retention schedule. Information about how we use personal information can be found in the Council's corporate privacy notice and which also provides information for how you can find out about your rights under data protection. Your details will not be passed to any third party. Information may be provided to resource and waste management company FCC Environment who manage the site and operations of Peterborough Household Recycling Centre for (and when only required) contact purposes need to be made when the site is open yet is outside of PCC office hours.
The council may seek to confirm residency at an address through Council Tax records or the Electoral Register should this be necessary as part of preventing and detecting offences.
