Please be advised of the following:
You have the right to request CCTV footage of yourself under Article 15 of the General Data Protection Regulation
(GDPR). You have a right to be provided with images of yourself, if we hold them, but not of any third parties.
There is no charge for processing a subject access request application. However, where the request is manifestly
unfounded or excessive, we may charge a reasonable fee for the administrative costs of complying with your request.
If a fee is applicable you will be advised accordingly.
CCTV footage is held by the council for a period of 30 days only. Any footage requested beyond this time limit
will not be available.
Please be aware that Peterborough City may refuse to provide footage to you whereby doing so would be likely to
- Prevention and detection of crime
- Apprehension and prosecution of offenders
If no data is held with regard to your request, or the data falls into a category exempted from disclosure, you will be
notified in writing of this.
The council must normally respond to your request within one month unless the request is complex for example, then
we are able to extend the time for a response by a further two months. If this is the case then we will inform you of this.
Please note: the period does not start until the council is satisfied about your identity and has enough details to
locate the information you are seeking.
